Bridge Portfolio Management Sydney West & North Zone

Client: DM Roads for Roads and Maritime Services (RMS)

Location: Sydney West and North Zone, NSW

Project Description: ZAMR Engineering managed Bridge Portfolio for Sydney West and North Zone Bridge Projects involving new construction, bridge rehabilitation, strengthening, repainting, besides tunnel and ferry assets.

Scopes: Responsibilities included:
• Client liaison and relationship management
• Development of briefs for investigation, design and development for engagement of consultants & contractors
• Development of project and portfolio budgets, and performance reports for TfNSW (RMS)
• Preparation of monthly and annual projects and portfolio forecast reports
• Management of concept and detailed designs and contract documentation, ensuring compliance to TfNSW (RMS) specifications and Technical Directons and providing constructability advice.
• Supporting DM Roads Commercial Section in procurement of construction contractors by managing tenderers technical queries and undertaking tender assessments, specifically review of methodologies and constructability.
• Overseeing construction/delivery of bridge construction/rehabilitation projects, providing constructability adviceand liaising with client for management of funding/variations.

Caboolture Steve Irwin Way Upgrade

Client: Department of Transport and Main Roads (DTMR)

Location: The Bruce Highway between Caboolture-Bribie Island Road and Steve Irwin Way (Exit 163)

Project Description: This project will widen the 11km stretch of the Bruce Highway from 4 to 6 lanes between Caboolture-Bribie Island Road and Steve Irwin Way (Exit 163). This will include upgrading creek crossings to improve flood immunity at Lagoon, King Johns, Six Mile, Un-named and Beerburrum Creeks.

Scopes: ZAMR Engineering was engaged by Department of Transport and Main Roads (DTMR) to provide project management support for C2SIW project, with the main responsibilites involving:
– Project Development
– Project Designs from Concept through to Final Design
– Development of Contract and Tender Documentation
– Co-ordination of Project Early Works including Public Utility adjustment works
– Project Risk and Constructability assessments
– Project Proposal for funding of $530M to Federal Government
– Submission to the State Infrastructure Investment Committee for endorsement.

Forest Lawn Memorial Park - Crypts of the Resurrection

Client: Invocare Australia

Location: Camden Valley Way, Leppington NSW 2179

Project Description: The Crypts of Resurrection at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Leppington NSW, involves the construction of 348 crypts including indoor, outdoor crypts and family vaults, landscaping and stormwater drainage and other associated civil works.

Scopes: ZAMR (formerly Deleg8) was responsible for carrying out the detailed architectural, structural and civil design and obtaining necessary construction approvals from Council.
The construction scope includes site preparation works, earthworks and construction of the crypts complex, stormwater drainage works, utility works including lighting and electrical works, emergency systems, building management systems, footpath and pavements, landscaping, artworks and water features, irrigation system works.

Scopes: 

M4 Smart Motorway Stage II

Client: Roads and Maritime Services

Location: Pitt Street to Reservoir Road

Project Description: A new smart motorway system to the existing 12km of M4 motorway between Pitt Street and Great Western Highway at Lapstone. Scopes of works included civil works associated with ITS devices along the M4 mainline between Pitt Street and east of Reservoir Road, ITS devices installed as Mainline ITS works between Pitt Street and Cumberland Highway, including ISLUS gantries and ramp works at three interchanges: Burnett Street, Coleman Street & Cumberland Highway.

Scopes: ZAMR (formerly known as Deleg8) are currently engaged by Transport for NSW (formerly Roads and Maritime Services – RMS) to provide project management and contract administration support for the M4 Smart Motorway program, ensuring its delivery is compliant with RMS’s contractual requirements.

Peats Ferry Bridge Rehabilitation

Client: DM Roads for RMS

Location: Hawkesbury River, NSW

Project Description:

Peat’s Ferry Road Bridge is of State significance owing to its historical associations and technical and engineering qualities. It was constructed between 1939 and 1945 and the current bridge fabric is original to the 1945 construction.

Peats Ferry Road Bridge was designed by the Department of Main Roads, NSW. The bridge design incorporates two exceptional features for its day: (a) welding was used in place of riveting in the fabrication of all members in the two main truss spans and (b) the bridge piers are founded on very deep caissons to the river bed.

Scopes: ZAMR was engaged by DM Roads for Road and Maritime Services (RMS) for the Project Management of Rehabilitation of Peats Ferry Bridge on Pacific Highway. The works included
– Contract management for performance and progress against the contract
– Ensure compliance with environmental requirements, including legislative, RMS G36 specification
– Manage the high risk environment of working over height, water, inencapsulated environment
– Project management including facilitation of resolutions of design issues through project designers
– Independent certification of compliance to the requirements, client inspections and approvals
– Improve user safety and reduce on-going maintenance cost

Pinegrove Memorial Park Construction

Client: Invocare Australia

Project Description: ZAMR (formerly known as Deleg8) was engaged by Invocare to assist in development and implementation of pavement rehabilitation works for the Pinegrove Memorial Park. The scope of work included full depth pavement construction pavement surface reconstruction at selected roads inside the cemetery, identification of heavy patching locations and extents, replacement of kerb & gutter at selected locations along with the construction of pit for stormwater drainage.

Scopes: ZAMR (formerly known as Deleg8) reviewed existing documentation and design and developed cost estimates for a variety of rehabilitation options for the client. On approval of recommended strategy Indus prepared Request for Quotation (RFQ) documentation and called for tenders for the works, assessed the quotes received and made recommendation to Invocare for the preferred contractor.

For the construction phase, ZAMR finalised the construction program along with the Site plans, undertook the supervision of works and ensured the specific work quality is obtained.

Red Line Metro Doha

Client: RLR Consortium for Qatar Rail

Location: Hamad International Airport, Al Wakra, Lusail

Project Description: Red Line North, Red Line South and Green Line. Project length: 14 km. 6 elevated and at-grade stations. GFA: 90,000 sqm.
Detailed design. Geotechnical engineering for viaduct and station foundations and temporary works for underpasses, structures, civil works, MEP, architecture, architectural finishes, façades, vertical transportation and landscaping.

Scopes: ZAMR (formerly known as Deleg8) provided project management services and coordinated management plans including Project Quality Plan, Design Management Plan, Project Risk Management Plan, Interface Management Plan, Value Management and Value Engineering Plan, Health and Safety Management Plan, Environmental Management Plan and many others. ZAMR/Deleg8 was also responsible for developing detailed project programs and establishing project controls to ensure timely and under budget completion and delivery of the project.

The Crown-Sydney Casino & Resort

Project Description: Crown Sydney is a casino and resort that is currently under construction in Barangaroo, Sydney, Australia. It will be the second legal casino in Sydney when it will open in 2021.
